Johnny Depp is set to break Tom Hanks' record to become the highest paid actor EVER. He'll receive over $56 million dollars for the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean film. Before that the record was held by Tom who did the Da Vinci Code for $51 million. And industry insider said,

"It's a lot of swag but they just can't make another without Sparrow."

Also, rumor has it that Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom won't star in the 4th movie. Maybe that's because after paying Johnny so much the film can't afford other actors in their budget. :)

Anyways, if it were anyone else getting this absolutely ridiculous amount of money for a movie I'm sure we'd all be complaining about the absurdity of it all, but with Johnny, I have no doubt he'll continue using his fortune and fame to do good in the world.

Johnny Depp And Disney - A Match Made In Movie Heaven

Disney film bosses have announced three new movies that Johnny Depp has signed on for. It's going to be all Johnny all the time. Who's complaining?!

Disney chairman Dick Cook revealed the news during a press conference at Los Angeles’ Kodak Theatre on Wednesday, detailing plans for upcoming films that would tie Depp to the studio for the next few years. Cook confirmed that a third sequel to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise was in the works, and that he would star as The Mad Hatter in director Tim Burton’s forthcoming adaptation of Alice In Wonderland.

And, topping off the list of projects, will be a big screen version of The Lone Ranger, which will see Depp reteam with Pirates of the Caribbean producer Jerry Bruckheimer. However, Depp will not take on the lead role of the Lone Ranger himself - he will instead be the hero’s sidekick, Tonto.

The real question is - how many millions did Johnny just bank?

U.K. readers, get excited! Johnny Depp may be coming to a town near you soon. Rumor has it he's getting ready to purchase a huge mansion in Norfolk.

Claxton Manor, about nine miles south-east of Norwich, has eight bedrooms, six bathrooms and four reception rooms and is packed with period features.

It has views over Claxton Marshes to the rivers and rolling hills beyond and 826 acres of land, grazing marshes, farmland, woods and water.

That sounds amazing! Is he buying a house this big because he and Vanessa are getting ready to move there permanently from France? The buzz of his move to England began when Johnny was spotted donating to a local Brownies pack there, and then a few months later he was spotted in a bar in the area. His rep won't confirm whether or not he's considering buying the property though.

Johnny Depp as the Riddler? OOOHHH... tell me more! Rumor has it that producers for Batman want Johnny to be The Riddler in the next installment of the series. So, what you are saying is Christian Bale and Johnny Depp will have at one another on the big screen? {drool}

Casting directors are also hard at work convincing Philip Seymour Hoffman to take on The Penguin. He is simply amazing and I think it would be a great catch. Now, we have to wait and see if either actor will bite.

"(Producers) are convinced that the role of the Riddler is perfect for Depp. Johnny’s a pro. He’ll be able to take direction from director Chris Nolan and still make the character his own. "And what better Penguin is there than Philip Seymour Hoffman."

I'm excited... really I am. But is it wrong to still want to hold onto Jim Carrey and Danny DeVito? They were PERFECT in their respected roles...

Johnny Depp and longtime girlfriend, French actress/singer Vanessa Paradis, arrived at the Nice airport with their two children, daughter Lily-Rose (b. May 27, 1999) and son Jack(b. April 9, 2002). As they shuffled out of the terminal and to theawaiting car Depp spotted the photographer and stopped cold to give himthe not-so-friendly finger. I didn't purchase the picture, but trust meit happened.

Johnny Depp Sends Young Fan Hat From Public Enemies

12 year old Jack Taylor begged Johnny Depp to send him the fedora hat he wore while filming Public Enemies during a chance encounter in Wisconsin. Johnny laughed and told the child, "when I'm done with it."

Jack's parents wrote a letter to the production company as a friendly reminder and a few days later, the hat arrived! It made Jack's YEAR! His mother says,

"It’s not exactly the easiest thing to make all five kids happy, but they did a good job. It’s finally nice to see a celebrity being nice and following through on his promises."

Depp also wrote Jack a short, personal note telling him to enjoy the hat.
The young boy told TheNorthwestern.com,

"It was pretty awesome when it came. I didn’t think it actually would come."

As usual, Johnny shows how kind and generous he really is.

I love what endless money can accomplish. Johnny Depp wanted French wine... and so it was done! While filming Public Enemy in Illinois, Johnny realized he wasn't a fan of the available local wine. So instead of dealing with the downgrade, he decided to ship 10 crates of French wine from his own vineyard to the set for his enjoyment.

"He is really enjoying filming but the only problem is that Illinois isn't exactly famous for its vineyards and Johnny is quite particular about his wine. "When he couldn't put up with the local wine any longer, he decided to organise for a shipment of his own to be sent across."

Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have been together for almost 10 years now, but they're finally going to make it official. Johnny had always said that if Vanessa ever decided she wanted a wedding, he would give it to her, so that's what happened.

"Vanessa recently told Johnny that she would love to have a wedding. Johnny loves Vanessa very much, and he said if that's what would make her happy, then he'd marry her."

How sweet! They are on of my favorite couples :) Now we'll just have to see if this is actually true. I've heard this rumor before...

Johnny Depp is like Superman, except real! Week after week, the amazing stories about what a good guy he is continue to pour in. This time he saved a group of extra's lives while working on the movie Public Enemies.

Depp, 44, was reportedly shooting a scene as bank robber John Dillinger when a stunt driver in a 1933 Ford sped onto a patch of ice and skidded towards six extras, who were standing with their backs turned, oblivious to the danger. But according to an eyewitness, the "Sweeney Todd" star stepped into action and "slammed into the group with arms outspread, shoving them all back," just in the nick of the time!

Thank goodness Johnny is quick on his feet! No one was injured.

As If We Really Needed Another Reason To Love Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp is busy these days filming Public Enemies. It's no surprise that when fans heard he was going to be in Crown Pointe to shoot the movie, hundreds of people swarmed to the set. They were rewarded for their dedication. After a long day of working, instead of going home, Johnny headed straight over to the people.

The 44-year-old movie star, in Crown Point to film a portion of "Public Enemies," left the set late Tuesday and strode around fencing. He headed straight to the crowd-control gates.
There, he spent an hour or more reaching across the gates to shake hands with anyone he could reach. He thanked everyone for staying; he chatted and stopped for pictures. He moved along the barriers for at least a block.

Fans said he was extremely gracious. AHHH, what's not to love?!?
