Almost Didn't Recognize Him

Ty Pennington and long time ladyfriend Drea Bock arrived at LAX surprised to see the paps. Almost passed up these pictures because I am so used to seeing his handyman shirtless. It just seems wrong for him to have so many layers on. ;)Click on the thumbnails to enlarge.

Ty Pennington Gets 36 Months Probation

Ty Pennington was sentenced 36 months probation, paid a $1500 fine and has to serve a 90-day alcohol education program for his DUI arrest. He has gone on several shows showing his remorse and I feel he genuinely understands his mistake.
In other news, a woman just came into my hospital room to offer me communion and couldn't stop looking at the "Knocked Up" t shirt that I am wearing! I also don't have my wedding rings on. So I am sure I made quite the impression on her! hahahahha

What Should Become Of Ty Pennington?

Ty Pennington is awaiting his arraignment on June 4th for his arrest on suspicion of DUI. He is making the media rounds apologizing for his mistake. The timing couldn't be worse for Ty. He is set to release a brand new magazine called Ty Pennington at Home on Tuesday. Here is his remorseful apology:

"I made a really bad error in judgment. I made a mistake, and honestly, it made me realize how important every decision you make in your life is because it affects everyone, not just yourself."

"I'm old enough to know better and I shouldn't have. It could jeopardize everything, including my job, which to me, is the greatest job in the world and I would never want to jeopardize that. I get to do something that a lot of people never get to do in their lifetime and actually get to make a difference in people's lives."

"If we could hit rewind in our life, I think we would do a bunch of things differently. But you can't do that. All you can do is accept what's happened and learn from it, move on and try to make sure you've learned from it and maybe teach other people so they don't have to go through the same thing."

The difference between Ty and Paris Hilton is the fact that he is accepting blame and apologizing for his actions. Even though I cannot stand behind DUIs, I believe that he actually understands what he has done. What should become of Ty? Do you think that he should go to jail? Get community service? Will ABC have a big enough issue with this incident to place his hosting role on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in jeopardy?

Ty Pennington Arrested For DUI

I am disgusted! What is going on with this world? Ty Pennington, host of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and one of my favorite shirtless carpenters, has been arrested for DUI! He posted $5,000 bail. More info to come...
UPDATE: Here is Ty's official statement:

"I made an error in judgment. We all make mistakes, however this is about accountability. Under no circumstances should anyone consume alcohol while driving. I could have jeopardized the lives of others and I am grateful there was no accident or harm done to anyone. This was my wake-up call. I also want to apologize to my fans, ABC Television and my design team for my lapse in judgment and the embarrassment I have caused."
