My son finally started to smile and laugh. I just had to share. In case you are wondering why he is on a pink boppy, it's because all of his stuff is recycled from my daughter. HA!

On A Side Note...
The person who invented the scale is the spawn of the devil. That is all I am going to say. THAT IS ALL I AM GOING TO SAY! :)
I'm Home And Sore As You Know What!

After braving the freaking tornado that hit NY/LI today, my new little baby and I have made it through our front door. I was supposed to be released at 10:00 AM. BUT I couldn't even see out the window of my hospital room. So we sat and rode it out. Click on the continue reading link below to see some pictures and hear my birthing story.
WHAT A RIDE! I had a feeling I was going to get sent to the hospital on Monday. I started to contract on Saturday but saw no pattern. By Monday, I could practically time them. So we gave my daughter to the in-laws and off we went to my scheduled appointment. My doctor walked in and saw I was in active labor. She checked me and I was 5cm dilated and 100% effaced. I was admitted at 8:15pm and had the baby at 11:52pm. CAN YOU IMAGINE? It was so quick!!
I had an epidural. I asked for two but they wouldn't give it to me. They thought I was joking... I totally was NOT joking. This time around I felt NOTHING. With Natalie, I pushed for two hours and my epidural didn't work. I felt EVERY SINGLE PUSH, BURN, STING, etc. With Liam, it was smooth sailing. At the very end I ended up getting a Level 4 episiotomy (which I am starting to feel today). Every muscle in my upper body is aching. It almost feels like I decided to rearrange every piece of furniture in my house... twice. From my neck to my lower back, I am SHOT. I guess that's because I was on bed rest for 20 weeks and hadn't used those muscles in a very long time.
After the birth, they started to do the stitching. The doctor didn't like the way the stitching came out so she RE-DID THEM. I was in there for over an hour and the medicine started to wear off. I began to HOWL and they shot me up with Demerol (or something like that). I was loopy for the next 24 hours. That stuff is NO JOKE! She gave it to me and in about a minute my eyes were closed and I couldn't talk. It was FANTASTIC! :)
Naomi Watts And I Are In A Race... She Just Doesn't Know It

I went to the doctor and I am:
- 4 cm dilated
- 70% effaced
- no cervix
- baby is +2 (meaning he is WAAAAYYYY LOW)
All I need is for my water to break! I wish they would just take me in the hospital and do it for me. :)

How Did You Celebrate The 4th? (Personal Post)

Hilary and Haylie Duff buried a photographer at the beach! That is kinda funny. At least we know he was a good sport! Hilary looks amazing in her black bikini. She has just the right amount of muscle in her stomach. MAN! Click on the thumbnails below to see more pictures.

This pregnancy has officially thrown me over the edge. I spent the 4th at the hospital or getting ready for the hospital. For some reason, I thought I sprung a leak. It happened with my first child. So I was looking for any sign of it happening this time around too. I felt a little discomfort in the morning. So my husband took my daughter out for a 2 hour park / walk fest and I slept. I skipped the family BBQ because I just didn't feel up to it. While sleeping (or dreaming), I thought it happened. My husband came home and I told him. We realized we had NOTHING prepared for the event. And I mean NOTHING. No bag packed, no car seat in the car, no cute little outfit purchased for Liam to come home in. We were frazzled!!!

I Am Out Of The Hospital!

Yesterday was quite the bumpy ride. I was being monitored all morning / afternoon because of contractions. But after a few tests, they released me!! They did an FFn and it was negative and I had no cervical change even with all the activity. I don't have to go back to see my doctor for another two weeks. So that means I get to stay home for 14 whole days! HEY NOW! By then I will be 34 weeks pregnant - so who cares if I deliver.
I spent all day yesterday playing with my daughter and watching cable (hahahhahah). We ordered from my favorite Chinese food restaurant and vegged out on the couch all night. Sorry for not updating. But I really needed to just be with my family. 6 weeks of being trapped in the hospital was just too much for me.
Ok - let's get started with the gossip.

I was supposed to go home yesterday. But instead my hospital stay just got extended. Click on the continue reading link below to read more.
I am 31 plus weeks. All week long, the staff was saying goodbye to me and the doctors were coming in and out saying there was really nothing they are doing for me. The opening line was always. "So, Tuesday's your last day with us huh?" And I would smile from ear to ear and shout "YES!" Instead, I no longer have a release date and will probably stay here until I deliver. When my doctor checked me, I was 2 cmm dilated and 80% effaced. She looked at me and told me there is no chance of me going home. My heart dropped to the floor and I did everything to not cry. I have been anticipating Tuesday for so long and it was taken away from me with one internal exam.
She said she felt the baby's head. "It's RIGHT THERE" were her exact words. So that's it. She won't check me again until I hit 34 weeks. Which means that I have to push back my daughter's birthday party. Everything is so up in the air. I went online a bit (after crying for about 2 hours) and read about a bunch of women who dilated this early but went all the way. So I really don't know what to expect. And I feel whatever week I plan my daughter's party will be the week I deliver. I feel either way I am going to miss that damn party.
Everyone is telling me to skip the party. But I don't want to. I didn't give her a party last year because we were right in the middle of moving to our new house and I won't miss another one. With or without me that girl is going to have a party. So we were thinking of pushing it to the first Saturday of July or something. By then, I will be 36 weeks or so (I think). They CAN'T keep me at 36 weeks right? I mean, that would be crazy. I delivered Natalie at 37 and she was fine.
